When one Muslim meets another he
should confront him with a smile and cheerful countenance and physically
express his delight in meeting him. This will entail a fortification of love
and affection between them. If you confront a grieved person with a cheerful
countenance, you might just allay his grief or at least pacify him. A person
feels unrestrained in expressing himself if he is confronted cheerfully
thereby aiding him in fulfilling his needs.

man’s belly will get filled up only with earth [i.e., his insatiable appetite

bondsman who turns his face towards Him.” (Bukhari and Muslim)

Do not be Envious of the Prosperity of an Evil Doer
Abu Hurayrah Radhiyallahu Anhu relates that the Apostle of Allah
Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam said:You should never be envious of an evil-doer
(an infidel or a pervert) because of a blessing or prosperity. You do not
know what suffering he is going to endure after death. At Allah’s place
(i.e., in the Hereafter) there is a killer for him that will not die.

Life with Virtue is a Blessing
|
Abu Bakrah Radhiyallahu Anhu narrates that someone said to the Prophet
Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam, “O Apostle of Allah! Who is better among men
(i.e., what kind of a man will be successful in the Hereafter)?” The Prophet
sallallahu alayhi wasallam replied, “He who lived long and did good deeds.”
The same person then asked, “Who is bad to a greater degree among men (i.e.,
what kind of man will be a loser in the Hereafter)?” The Prophet sallallahu
alayhi wasallam replied, “He who lived long and did evil deeds.”

Hadith: Describing Musa (Moses),'Isa (Jesus) and Ibrahim (Abraham)
Narrated by Abu Huraira:
Allah's Apostle said, "On the night of my Ascension to Heaven, I saw (the prophet) Moses who was a thin person with lank hair, looking like one of the men of the tribe of Shanua; and I saw Jesus who was of average height with red face as if he had just come out of a bathroom. And I resemble prophet Abraham more than any of his offspring does. Then I was given two cups, one containing milk and the other wine. Gabriel said, 'Drink whichever you like.' I took the milk and drank it. Gabriel said, 'You have accepted what is natural, (True Religion i.e. Islam) and if you had taken the wine, your followers would have gone astray.' "

Hadith: Regarding any Harm as an expiation of sins
Narrated by 'Abdullah:
I visited Allah's Apostle while he was suffering from a high fever. I said, "O Allah's Apostle! You have a high fever." He said, "Yes, I have as much fever as two men of you." I said, "Is it because you will have a double reward?" He said, "Yes, it is so. No Muslim is afflicted with any harm, even if it were the prick of a thorn, but that Allah expiates his sins because of that, as a tree sheds its leaves."
(Bukhari, Volume 7, Book 70, Number 551)
